Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Red Lotus Tecnologia website (redlotus.com.br), of Red Lotus Academy (academy.redlotus.com.br) and of the videos we publish on our YouTube channel. They are offered by RED LOTUS TECNOLOGIA DA INFORMAÇÃO LTDA – EPP, CNPJ 49.623.066/0001-27 ("Red Lotus", "we", "us"). By using any of them, you agree to these terms.

1. What we offer

The website describes our consulting services and publishes articles. Red Lotus Academy offers free courses: video lessons with summaries, quizzes, flashcards and exercises. The same videos are published on our YouTube channel, Red Lotus Tecnologia.

2. Your account

Red Lotus Academy is accessed by signing in with a Google account. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts used to abuse the service, to break these terms, or to break the law.

3. Free of charge

The courses are currently free. If we ever introduce paid content, its price and conditions will be shown before you are asked to pay, and nothing you already have access to for free will be charged retroactively.

4. Content and intellectual property

  • Our lessons, videos, scripts, animations and texts belong to Red Lotus. You may watch and use them for your own learning and share links to them. You may not republish, resell or redistribute them without our written permission.
  • Courses based on books are our commentary and teaching about those books. The books themselves belong to their authors and publishers; we link to where they can be bought and encourage you to read them.
  • Our videos are narrated with a synthetic (AI) voice of the author, created with the author's consent. Scripts are written with AI assistance from the book and the author's experience, then reviewed and approved by the author. Each video says so in its description.

5. YouTube

Our videos are hosted on YouTube. When you watch them on YouTube or in a player embedded on our sites, you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. How we use the YouTube API Services is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break, overload or bypass the security of our services, access other people's accounts, scrape content in bulk, or use the services for anything unlawful.

7. No professional advice

Courses and articles are educational. They reflect our experience and opinions and do not replace advice suited to your specific situation. Apply them at your own judgment.

8. Availability and liability

We provide the services "as is" and may change, pause or discontinue any part of them. To the extent permitted by law, Red Lotus is not liable for indirect damages or losses arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the free services. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code or other mandatory law.

9. Privacy

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the services after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Disputes are settled in the courts of the consumer's domicile, as Brazilian law provides, or otherwise in the courts of São Paulo, SP.
